School Counseling
Welcome to Boone Grove Middle School’s School Counselor page! I’m Mrs. Dexter the school counselor for BGMS. As the school counselor I provide academic, college/career guidance, and social/emotional counseling to all students. During the school year, I meet with students to provide classroom guidance, small group counseling and individual counseling. Students can also request to see me by stopping down to the office and filling out a Request to See the Counselor Form. Parents are encouraged to contact me at any time during the school year, or to set an appointment for a meeting. I look forward to a wonderful school year working with Boone Grove’s amazing students, families, and community.
21st Century Scholarship
7th and 8th grade Indiana residents are highly encouraged to apply for the 21st Century Scholarship. The Indiana 21st Century Scholarship Program is an early commitment college promise program funded by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education (CHE), offering income-eligible Hoosier students up to four years of paid tuition at an eligible Indiana two-year and/or four-year higher education institution. To enroll in the program you must be an Indiana resident and meet the income criteria. Families are encouraged to apply with their students to ensure application completion and accuracy; however if a family or student is unable to do so I am more than happy to assist.
You can apply to enroll for 21st Century Scholarship by clicking the following link: https://learnmoreindiana.org/scholars/enroll/
